Editorial Policy

Effective date: October 4, 2026

Our promise: clear, honest information about everyday habits, backed by public health sources, with no paid placements and no exaggerated claims.

What we cover

BetterYouCare focuses on everyday wellness habits: hydration, sleep routines, walking and light activity, meal planning, daily routines and self-care. We do not publish content about treating, curing or reversing medical conditions, and we do not promote dietary supplements.

Sources we use

Health facts in our guides are checked against reputable public sources, such as:

  • national health services and public health agencies (for example the NHS, CDC and WHO)
  • major medical institutions (for example Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic)
  • peer-reviewed research, where a plain-language summary is available

Sources are linked within or at the end of each guide so you can check them yourself.

How a guide is made

  1. Research: we gather current guidance from the sources above.
  2. Drafting: the guide is written in plain language. AI tools may assist with drafting and editing.
  3. Fact-check: every health statement is checked against its source before publishing.
  4. Safety review: we add a note to see a healthcare provider wherever a reader’s situation could make general advice unsuitable.
  5. Publishing: each guide shows its last reviewed date.

Who writes our content

Content is written and reviewed by Uday Chandra, who runs BetterYouCare. We are not medical professionals and do not present ourselves as experts in medicine or nutrition.

Keeping content current

We review guides regularly and update them when public guidance changes. Significant changes are reflected in the guide’s last reviewed date.

Corrections

If you believe something on BetterYouCare is inaccurate or out of date, please email admin@betteryoucare.com with the page link and the issue. We review every correction request and update the page if a change is needed.

Independence and money

  • No company can pay to be featured, ranked or recommended.
  • We do not publish sponsored posts.
  • We sell our own printable planners and say so clearly when we mention them.
  • If a guide contains an affiliate link, it is labeled. Commissions never decide what we write. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
